Box Rocks music festival line-up to feature

[ad_1]

Dean Creighton and Roger Bolton, who co-founded charity fundraiser Box Rocks some 29 years ago, say they will be introducing up-and-coming acts on a new acoustic stage.

The annual music festival takes place at the Queens Head pub in the centre of Box, where it has been held since its launch in 1994.

Mr Bolton said: “I have invited two ‘named/famous’ singer/songwriters to participate, along with some new young local bands/artists.”

Eight bands have been booked to take part in this year’s Box Rocks on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, which will feature eight bands over eight hours, starting from 2pm.

The line-up features The Phoenix River Band, Danni W, a Tom Petty tribute band Petty Minded, two local Indie bands Nothing Rhymes with Orange and The Sunnies, a Jon Bon Jovi tribute band From Jovi, The Radio Makers, and a Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood’s Back.

The Box Rocks music festivals in 2021 and 2022 raised more than £7,000 for the Dorothy House Hospice Care charity in Winsley.
