Chicago fans experience muddy conditions

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – For many Lollapalooza goers, after this weekend, it might be time to find some new shoes.

“I came in with semi-clean Air Forces, and left with really, really muddy Air Forces [be]cause after the rain, [there]were still puddles of rain and mud everywhere,” one fan said.

Though attendees said they expected some less than adequate weather, they weren’t fully prepared for Grant Park to turn into a giant Slip N Slide.

“This was actually my very first time at Lolla, so I sort of expected a little bit of rainy weather. I did check it. But, I wasn’t expecting it to be like this, to be honest with you,” another attendee said.

“I was sure to wear some shoes I did not care about, and I’m probably gonna throw these out after honestly,” the third festival goer said.

That didn’t stop them from enjoying the festival, in fact, many festival goers are looking on the bright side.

“Better than sun, sweating-hot,” one fan said.

“[It’s] easier to take pictures without the sun in my eyes,” another Lolla goer chimed in.
