A busy weekend has arrived in Saratoga.

The 154th running of the Travers Stakes is Saturday at the Saratoga Race Course.

The Grade 1 Travers Stakes run by 3-year-old fillies has a post time of 6:10 p.m.

Favorite Forte will be in post position one ridden by jockey Irad Ortiz Jr.

Plus, Funny Cide will be honored on Sunday at the track. Earlier this summer, he died due to complications with colic.

Funny Cide won the 2003 Kentucky Derby and the Preakness stakes, falling just short of a Triple Crown win. His remains will be buried at the track Sunday at 11 a.m. just a short distance from the horse path.

Saturday night, popular jam band Phish is holding a flood benefit concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center starting at 7:30 p.m.

Proceeds will go to the Waterwheel Foundation’s 2023 Flood Recovery Fund which is helping people in New York state and Vermont.

Spectrum News 1 anchor Marisa Jacques has more from the race track before Saturday’s race gets underway.
