Paris Hilton has hit back at her “haters” that stood at the front of a crowd at a music festival that she was performing at. The socialite-come-DJ performed a set at Tomorrowland – a Belgian electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Flanders.

The “haters” reportedly held up a sign which accused Paris of not performing her set live, and claiming that she was instead playing a pre-recorded mix of her music, reports Mirror.co.uk. “This is dedicated to the two haters at the front, holding up signs saying that I’m not playing live. ‘Cause honey, yes I f***ing am,” she said in response to the sign. “Sorry I’m a girl, I’m hot, I’m blonde. We can do everything. Go hate on someone else.” She then added the caption: “Slaying @tomorrowland,” followed by a series of pink emojis.

As per Mirror.co.uk, it comes after Paris and her family were spotted on the island with her husband Carter Reum, 42, and their six-month-old son Phoenix. They were reportedly seen in Wailea – around 30 miles away from Lahaina – amid some calls for tourists to leave. Last week, wildfires swept through the island, leading to fatalities and significant damage to properties, notably in the town of Lahaina. As a result, some residents have been displaced and the death toll in the area now stands at 96. A source told Mirror.co.uk that Paris’ holiday was initially a “planned family trip” but that the couple ended up helping “where they could” in the community. The source said this included gathering supplies and donating to shelters.

The source said: “It was initially a planned family trip, and she has been traveling to Maui since she was born.” They further commented about the socialite: “She has many friends and family there and it’s a second home for her. Her uncle’s restaurant in Lahaina burned down so they decided to shorten their trip and go to see their family and help where they could. When they arrived, they gathered supplies, donated to the local shelters and people in need and made significant contributions.”

More ‘High School Musical’ in Disney Parks

Though “High School Musical Pep Rally” and its various successors was the most significant representation of the franchise in Disney theme parks, it wasn’t the only “HSM”-adjacent project connected to the parks.

As was (and still is) typical of Disney Channel stars, the “High School Musical” cast made the rounds in many Disney press event circuits. This included visiting Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World in 2006 during “The Happiest Celebration on Earth,” being among the first to ride Expedition Everest as Disney celebrated 50 years of theme parks.

In 2007, Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort hosted the world premiere of “High School Musical 2.”

According to Character Central, Mickey and Minnie dressed in Wildcat gear for character greetings at Walt Disney Studios Park inside the now-closed Disney Blockbuster Café.

Yours truly was particularly proud of earning the Wildcats gym in the Virtual Magic Kingdom online game.

Over the years, both generations of the “HSM” cast performed in the parks during ABC’s annual Christmas Day broadcast (Kelly Ripa: “Look, Regis! Wildcat fever has taken over all of Main Street!”) Most recently, the stars of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” danced at Disneyland in 2019’s telecast.

In 2023, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened at Disneyland. As guests wait in line, they see parodies of familiar movie posters. Among them is “High School Goofical 3: Senior Year,” featuring characters from “A Goofy Movie” substituting for the likes of Troy, Gabriella, and the Wildcats.

To finish off our journey through Disney history, we’ll leave you with this gem from ABC’s 2007 Christmas Day broadcast. Art.

Gordo & Maluma Take Us Behind-the-Scenes of Tomorrowland

[ad_1]

Following his collaboration with Feid, Gordo is back with a new EDM banger. The Nicaraguan-American producer teamed up with Maluma on “Parcera,” out today (Aug. 11).

“Maluma and I have been sitting on ‘Parcera’ for a while now… trying to find the right time to release it… and the time is now,” the Guatemalan-born DJ and producer said in a press statement. “A lot of people don’t know that Maluma and I have only been boys for a few years but the music we make together is so next level.”

He continued: “He’s an artist that believes in his culture, his community, his craft. Bringing him into this electronic world and the culture we have is something I take a lot of pride in.”

Gordo—born Diamante Blackmon—premiered the new joint track while playing Tomorrowland’s main stage on July 22. During the premiere, the duo also recorded footage of their experience for the new track’s new video. The music video starts with social media users writing negative comments about Maluma’s appearance at the EDM festival. We then see the text: “I’m Gordo. Want to know what I did to upset so many people? Well… I showed my best friend what I do for a living.”

Directed by Caiio Silva, the music video follows Gordo and Maluma as they hang out. They also show clips of Maluma as fans embrace him. Other footage shows the duo’s impact in front of the massive EDM festival. Overall, we get a full behind-the-scenes look at their exciting Tomorrowland adventure, despite negative comments by social media users.

At the end of the video, Gordo asks Maluma what the goal of this collaboration is. The Colombian star responds: “The maximum goal is uniting both cultures. They feel afraid because nobody is gonna do it but you and me. Because we don’t give a f*ck. We just do what we love.”

It’s not the first time Gordo teams up with a Latine superstar. Besides collaborating with Feid on “Hombres y Mujeres,” he recently released “El Mas Chingon” with El Alfa. As for Maluma, he recently collaborated with Blessd on “EL RELOJ” and with EDM giants The Chainsmokers on “Celular” alongside Nicky Jam.

Sahil Varma: I ended up playing for 3 hours at

[ad_1]

Sahil Varma aka ADGRMS is the only Indian artiste to play at Tomorrowland this year. The annual EDM festival in Belgium is held over four days and Varma played at the Belgian Beer Bar stage on Friday, July 21. He says, “Ten years ago, I used to dream of attending the festival. But I also remember a younger me promising my best friend that the first time I attend the festival will be to perform otherwise I will never go. I still cannot believe this happened.”

Talking about his experience at the festival, the 26-year-old says, “I played a mix of different genres including Afro house, techno and I always try to end my sets with a high energy number. I was actually supposed to perform a 90-minute set, but I played a three-hour set because the people wouldn’t let me go. I have never played a better set in my whole life.” The DJ-cum-music producer played Hindi/Bollywood songs during his set, including Pataka Guddi by the Noorani sisters, Aaja sanam by Lata Mangeshkar, Mundian To Bach Ke by Panjabi MC, among others.

Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the Indian artiste says it was “magical” playing at and meeting all of his music heroes at the festival. “I saw everybody that I look up to. They were walking by or sitting right next to me. Among the many people I met was Tiesto. He was the reason that I became a DJ. In 2013, I went to a concert in Mumbai and that was the first time I saw a DJ perform. It was just Tiesto on stage and 25,000 people in the crowd, and they were all doing what he wanted them to do. That was the day I knew what I wanted to be. I also got to speak to him and told him about this; he was really happy to hear it.”
