R&B singer Kehlani visited a make-your-own candle shop in Connecticut

R&B singer and songwriter Kehlani was spotted in Manchester on Friday making something other than music.

The Grammy-nominated artist stopped by the make-your-own candle shop ALL Love Candles, according to a Instagram post showing her posing with someone and holding up a peace sign.

“We never know who might pop in to make a candle,” the post’s caption reads. “This one was such a sweet surprise!”

Kehlani has been nominated for two Grammy awards and has released three studio albums. The singer recently performed at the Hartford Healthcare  Amphitheater in Bridgeport in August.

She visited candle shop in Manchester’s Hilliard Mills shopping complex days after writing in an Instagram post that she was sexually harassed after a performance in England, according to Billboard.

“I don’t care how sexual you deem my music, my performances, my fun with my friends dancing at clubs, or ME… That does not give any of you the right to cross a boundary like sticking your hands up my skirt…” they wrote.

The owner of ALL Love Candles, Ajia Loomis, wrote on the company’s website that she started the candle making business out of her home after losing her job at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I want to be able to shed a little light with the entire community during a time of darkness,” she wrote on the website. “So I went back to my roots and landed in my hometown at the historic Hilliard Mills. Manchester, CT holds a special place in my heart and I look forward to sharing this new, fresh, aesthetically pleasing experience with the public!”

A company representative declined to provide any other details about Kehlani’s visit in an email.
