Summer Camp Music Festival has dropped its initial artist lineup for the 2023 edition of the annual midwest musical weekend. This year’s event is scheduled to occur at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Ill., prior to Memorial Day, May 26 through 28.
The three-day occurrence in the Land of Lincoln will feature a trio of shows performed by Umphrey’s McGee and moe. Moreover, the event will also see Goose deliver two sets of tunes. Willie Nelson & Family, Vulfpeck, Excision, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade and The Disco Biscuits represent other acts tapped to top the festival lineup.
In total, Summer Camp shared the names of over 150 artists slated to participate in the annual musical weekend. Amongst the artists are Cory Wong, Girl Talk, Lotus, The Floozies, SunSquabi, Keller Williams Trio, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Papadosio, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Wailers, and a plethora of others, see the initial lineup below.
Nelson’s highly anticipated set marks his first Summer Camp appearance since 2009 and ends a 14-year lapse from the fabled festival. In addition to music, the annual occurrence will include a large-scale art installation nestled in the Illumination Woods and The Soulshine Experience, which provides a space for learning, workshops and activities offered during the three-day occasion.
