The Big Dance Story: David Guetta Is Back on Top

The week’s biggest news in electronic music is a familiar name at the top of a respected list. David Guetta has reclaimed the number one spot on the 2026 Top 101 Producers chart compiled by 1001Tracklists, which was released on October 19, 2026. The annual ranking carries weight in the electronic music community because it is built on data rather than votes, so it cannot be swayed by public voting or fan campaigns.

How the Ranking Works

Unlike a traditional popularity poll, the Top 101 Producers chart is calculated entirely from real world performance metrics. The algorithm looks at a twelve month window, from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, and tracks unique DJ support, counting how many times an artist’s productions were played in live festival sets, radio shows, and club gigs by other DJs around the world.

Guetta’s 2026 Dominance

Guetta logged a total of 1,121 unique DJ supports, narrowly edging Armin van Buuren with 1,116 and the 2025 champion Max Styler with 1,107. It is Guetta’s fourth time on top, following wins in 2019, 2022, and 2023, and it extends his record of staying in the global top five for eight consecutive years.

1,121 unique DJ supports, a margin of just five over Armin van Buuren, and a fourth crown for Guetta.

His numbers were driven by a run of club releases under his own name and a few collaborative projects. “Locked In,” his Future Rave anthem with MORTEN and featuring Trippie Redd, was a major weapon, while “Somebody That I Used To Know,” a high energy melodic techno rework with the Ukrainian duo ARTBAT, found wide support. He also dropped the club ready collaborations “You And I” with rising talent Hypaton and “Upside Down” with vocalist Jaden Bojsen, and he launched MEN MACHINE, a new underground house and tech focused side project with Marten Hørger. Continuous play on stages around the globe kept his catalog at the center of dance music all year.

Whether you are warming up for a big night or just settling in for the early hours, Club Night and Sunday Spunday are the place to hear where the dance world is headed. Tune in to JamFest Radio tonight and stay with it until the morning.
