WinterWonderGrass Steamboat Reveals Its 10th Anniversary Lineup, Led by String Cheese Incident, Trampled by Turtles and Kitchen Dwellers
Three days of jam bands, bluegrass, and acoustic roots music return to the Colorado mountains March 5 to 7, 2027.
WinterWonderGrass has announced the lineup for the 10th anniversary of its Steamboat edition, and it is a big one. The premier three day winter outdoor music festival, which blends jam bands, bluegrass, and acoustic roots music, takes place March 5th through the 7th, 2027, in the mountain resort town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The festival began in Edwards, Colorado, in 2013, moved to Avon the next year, and landed in Steamboat in 2017, and founder Scotty Stoughton says ten years in Steamboat have gone by in a blink.
Historic Headliners
The headline news is The String Cheese Incident. The Colorado jamgrass pioneers will make their first ever WinterWonderGrass appearance, and it will be their first performance in the town of Steamboat Springs since 2002. They are joined at the top of the bill by two acts at the progressive acoustic heart of the festival, Trampled by Turtles and the Kitchen Dwellers. The festival is the anchor of String Cheese’s winter 2027 run, which also includes two nights at Belly Up Aspen on March 6th and 7th.
The Rest of the Bill
The 2027 lineup brings twenty seven artists across four stages over the weekend. Notable names confirmed include Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, the Jerry Douglas Band, Shadowgrass, The Brothers Comatose, Hayes Carll, and BoomBox, along with Magoo, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, and Pickin’ On The Dead featuring Rob Eaton, WinterWonderWomen, and Johnny Mullenax. Lindsay Lou will serve as the festival’s artist at large. The organizers say more acts are also booked.
Passes
Passes are on sale now through the festival box office. The announcement also kicked off with a free, all ages lineup celebration at Snow Bowl in Steamboat on October 7th, featuring members of Heads All Empty and special guests.
